For over 2 decades Jonathon R. Mills has been using the tragedies, trials, and triumphs of his own life as examples to encourage, empower, and educate others. Jonathon is a powerful speaker full of knowledge, empathy, drive, and passion. Born with serum hepatitis and jaundice and expected to die, Jonathon has been a fighter since day one. Having to overcome his own learning disabilities and challenges, then later adopting his daughter Hailey who is missing 70% of her brain, and most recently overcoming a life-or-death surgery, Jonathon understands how difficult it can be when faced with adversity.
Jonathon also understands that tragedy sometimes triggers our “fight or flight” response when we are in the presence of something that is mentally or physically terrifying. Although difficult, he believes that we all stand on the edge of those two choices daily, and that it is imperative to choose to “fight” because “flight” is never an option.
